Notice period 90 din ka, naya offer 30 din mein join karne ka? Pura scene samjho
buyout, early release, offer letter, relieving letter. 9 saal mein jo seekha, sab ek jagah

Dekho bhai, har hafte koi na koi DM karta hai: "bhaiya offer aa gaya, 30 din mein join karna hai, notice 90 din ka hai, kya karu?" Toh socha ek baar mein sab likh deta hoon. Mere dono switches mein yahi scene tha, aur juniors ke saath 20-25 baar ye dekh chuka hoon.
1. Resign tab karo jab offer letter haath mein ho
Recruiter ka "you are selected 🎉" wala mail offer letter nahi hai. Offer letter mein ye sab hona chahiye:
- CTC ka breakup (fixed, variable, joining bonus alag alag)
- Designation aur location
- Joining date, aur ye line ki joining date mutually extend ho sakti hai
- Agar joining bonus hai toh clawback clause (12 mahine se pehle chhoda toh waapis dena padega ya nahi)
Simple si baat hai: paper pe nahi hai toh exist nahi karta.
2. Apna appointment letter dobara padho
Joining ke time sab sign kar dete hain, koi padhta nahi. Ab padho. Teen cheezein dhundo:
- Notice period kitna hai aur kya probation ke baad badalta hai
- Buyout allowed hai ya nahi. Kuch companies mein likha hota hai "at the sole discretion of management", matlab manager ki marzi
- Notice pay kis pe calculate hota hai: basic pe ya gross pe. Ye bahut bada fark hai
3. Buyout ka hisaab
Maan lo basic 50,000 mahina hai aur 60 din bache hain. Buyout basic pe hai toh lagbhag 1 lakh dena padega. Gross pe hai toh aur zyada. Ye paisa nayi company se maango, seedha bolo: "I can join in 30 days if you cover the notice buyout." Bahut companies joining bonus ke naam pe de deti hain. Bas clawback padh lena.
4. Early release: HR se pehle manager se baat karo
Scene ye hai ki HR policy padhega, manager decide karega. Toh pehle manager ke saath 1:1 lo:
- Ek KT plan leke jao. Kaunsa module kisko, kitne din mein, docs kahan hain. Manager ka sabse bada dar ye hota hai ki tumhare jaane ke baad prod kaun sambhalega
- Bacha hua leave balance notice mein adjust ho sakta hai kya, ye pucho (har jagah allowed nahi hota)
- Jo bhi decide ho, mail pe confirm karo. "As discussed today, my last working day will be..." Verbal promise ka koi value nahi
5. Absconding mat karna
Kuch log bolte hain "chhod ke chale jao, kya kar lenge". Kar lenge. Relieving letter nahi milega, aur nayi company ka background verification (BGV) pichli company ko call karta hai. Absconding ka tag ek baar lag gaya toh agle switch mein bhi peecha karega.
6. Counter offer aaye toh
Resign karte hi achanak tumhari value samajh aa jaati hai, 20% hike ka offer aata hai. Mera personal experience: mere dekhe 10 mein se 7 log jo counter offer leke ruke, ek saal ke andar chale gaye. Jo problem thi woh paisa nahi tha, aur woh problem waise hi rahi. Socho tum kyun ja rahe the.
7. Ek offer accept karke ghost mat karna
Notice mein aur offers aayenge, ye normal hai. Better offer lena hai toh lo, par pehle wale recruiter ko seedha bata do. Unki bhi naukri hai, unke bhi targets hain. Industry chhoti hai, wahi recruiter 3 saal baad kisi aur company mein milega.
8. Last working day ki checklist
- Last 3 mahine ki salary slips, Form 16, appraisal letters, sab download karo. Portal access LWD ki shaam ko hi band ho jaata hai
- Relieving letter aur experience letter ki date confirm karo
- PF: UAN same rehta hai, naya UAN mat banwao. Nayi company ko wahi UAN do aur transfer claim daal do
- Full and final settlement 30 se 60 din leta hai. Leave encashment usi mein aata hai
Bas itna. 90 din ka notice dard hai, par plan ke saath mostly 45-60 din mein nikal jaate ho. Koi doubt ho toh comment karo 🙏
