About Dynamo Geeks

Developers at every level: people who ship software, run it in production, and would rather learn from someone who has already hit the problem than from a listicle. If you have debugged it, benchmarked it, migrated it or broken it, there is somebody here who wants to read about it.

Posts come from members, not from an editorial staff. What makes one worth reading is first-hand experience, which is exactly what our community guidelines ask for.

• Write long-form articles, or share a short update, a link, an image or a poll.
• Ask a question, and accept the answer that solved it so the next person finds it first.
• Join topics, the communities built around a subject, and talk in their discussion rooms.
• Follow people whose work you want to see, earn reputation and badges as you contribute, and climb the leaderboard.
• Find a role, or post one, on the jobs board.

Each topic is run by its creator and the moderators they appoint. They set the topic's rules, keep it on subject, and decide who is let into a private topic. Private topics are invite-only, and nothing posted in one is shown to anybody outside it.

Across the whole site, the guidelines apply everywhere: spam, fake engagement, plagiarism and harassment are removed. Reputation and badges are earned by contributing; they cannot be bought. Very short posts that nobody has replied to yet are kept out of search engines until the community engages with them.
