Rate my landing page (roast allowed, my uncle already roasted it in Gujarati)

Kem cho! I run a GST billing SaaS for textile traders in Ahmedabad and Surat. ₹3.1L MRR, mostly from referrals and from my uncle shouting at his friends. Now I want Google traffic to convert better and I think the landing page is the problem. Here it is in text, because screenshots of my Gujarati Chrome confuse everyone:

Hero: "Smart GST Billing Solution for Modern Textile Businesses"

Sub: "Streamline your invoicing, inventory and compliance with our powerful cloud-based platform."

Buttons: "Get Started" and "Book a Demo"

Below: 6 feature cards with icons: Cloud Based, Secure, Fast, Reports, Multi-user, 24x7 Support

Then: pricing ₹999 / ₹1,999 / ₹3,999 per month, 3 testimonials (one is my uncle, he insisted), and a footer with about 40 links

Numbers: around 2,400 visitors a month, mostly from searches like "gst billing software surat". 1.1% start a trial. 70% are on mobile. Trial to paid is good, around 30%, once someone actually tries it. So the problem is the page.

Su vaat che, what would you change first? Be honest, I have been married 6 years, I can take criticism.

Put a phone number in the hero. Our people trust a phone number more than any button. Same in Lagos, same in Ahmedabad I am sure

ok i love you dhruv but your hero says nothing a textile trader would ever say. smart, modern, streamline, powerful: nobody searches those words and nobody says them at a shop counter. what do your customers say when they complain? probably "e-way bills take forever" or "i spend sunday chasing payments on whatsapp". put THAT in the hero, in their words. 1. hero = the pain + the result. something like "GST bills and e-way bills in 2 minutes. Payment reminders on WhatsApp, automatically." 2. right under it: "used by 228 textile shops in Ahmedabad and Surat". local proof beats any icon 3. show the actual invoice. a real one, blurred. traders want to see the paper they'll hand to their customer 4. kill the 6 icon cards. "cloud based" and "secure" are not features, they're the minimum 5. 70% mobile = one sticky button at the bottom. "try free for 14 days" OR "whatsapp us". one, not two 6. your uncle stays. uncles convert

Jo this is brutal and correct. "Sunday chasing payments on WhatsApp" is literally what my uncle said the day he signed up. Changing the hero tonight 🙏

"smart" and "modern" are the lorem ipsum of SaaS headlines. +1 to everything Jo said. also 40 footer links on mobile is a scroll workout

Designer here! 70% mobile and 6 icon cards means 3 screens of scrolling before anyone sees a price. Allora: hero with the invoice image, one CTA, price visible on the first scroll. And please make a Gujarati version of the page, the switch can just say ગુજરાતી ✨

One question before you redesign: what do the 30% who convert after the trial have in common? Did they come from search or referrals? If referrals convert and search does not, the page may not be the only problem. The search traffic may be colder than you think.

Rachel very good question. Just checked: referrals convert around 45%, search around 18%. So search people are colder. Maybe the page must do more work for them

Exactly. For search visitors the page has to answer "why should I trust a stranger with my billing?" Proof, a phone number, a real face. Referral visitors already trust your uncle.

Jo's list is right. One more from someone who just went through it: show the price plainly and say what's included. Traders compare. If they have to book a demo to understand the price, many won't.
