  1. Say what killed it

Scope, money, motivation, life. The autopsy is the whole point.

  2. Bring the detail

Versions, error text, what you already tried. "It does not work" is not a question anyone can answer.

  3. No drive-by self promotion

Share your own work when it answers the thread. A link with no context is a advert, and it gets removed.

Kota, very good effort, and a very good bug. Small correction needed in one line. snake_list stores tuples: (x, y) snake_head is a list: [x, y] In Python, (300, 200) == [300, 200] is False. A tuple and a list are never equal, even with the same numbers inside. So your check never becomes True and your snake is immortal. Fix: make them the same type. Change snake_head = [x, y] to snake_head = (x, y) and then append snake_head itself. Try it in the Python shell first: type (1, 2) == [1, 2] and see. Now please also finish the rotational motion chapter, alle? 😊

  • Good bug, Kota. Everybody learns tuple vs list this way. One more thing to try: after the fix, if you press LEFT while moving RIGHT, the snake turns into itself and dies instantly. Block the opposite direction. Dry run it on paper first. And yes, physics first, samjhe? 😄

ogagnon-san! I had the same problem with my Tenjin demo build (=^・ω・^=) What worked for me: 1. Export mode "Export selected resources (and dependencies)". Tick the demo scenes AND the level resources you load by path. Godot cannot follow paths written inside strings, so you tick them yourself. 2. Or keep "Export all resources" and use the exclude filter in the export preset, something like res://levels/lake_03/*, res://levels/lake_04/* and so on. Easier for me because my folders are one per level. 3. Add a custom feature to the demo export preset (Features tab, Custom: demo). In code: if OS.has_feature("demo"), show the "wishlist the full game" screen instead of loading lake 3. Then even if a file slips in, nobody can reach it. 4. Audio: convert the music to .ogg. WAV in the export is huge. My music went from 300 MB to 25 MB. 5. Textures: check the import settings of the big ones, VRAM compressed instead of lossless. My demo went from 640 MB to 180 MB. ganbatte!
