annual plans: what discount do you actually give? (my own data says it barely matters, curious about yours)

India answer: no annual plan, because when you offer annual the customer says "bhai 50% discount do" and suddenly you are negotiating like at a wedding

2 months free. about 22% of new customers take it. the cash in january is lovely, the renewals the next january are terrifying

B2B: we do 10% off annual, but honestly people take annual because procurement wants one invoice a year, not because of the discount. The discount is almost irrelevant

this matches my data!! 9 people took annual in april and every one of them said "easier for accounting". not one mentioned the discount

Worth testing: keep the discount small, but offer annual at a moment of high happiness (right after a customer hits a milestone in the product), not only on the pricing page. Timing may beat percentage.

annual only, no monthly. ahah I know I know. my webhook relay is used by companies, they don't care, and I do less churn work pá
