pasted it. it said check grounding and add a capacitor. cooked u in 4 seconds 🤖🚀

It also said "update the ADC driver" and "try a different microcontroller". One correct out of three. A coin is cheaper.

As the person who started this topic: this is exactly what it's for. Model, task, result. Ryan, which model and what was the full answer? Post it and let's grade it properly instead of trading insults.

Answer, as promised: the motor return current shared part of the ground path with the sensor ground. When the motor starts, that ground bounces ~400 mV. The sensor's reference moves, the ADC input goes above VREF, reads 4095. Fix: star ground, separate analog ground return to the ADC, RC filter on the input, and the sensor cable shield grounded at one end only. Two days with a scope on site. The chatbot said "grounding" as item 4 in a list of 9. A list of 9 possible causes is not debugging. Finding which one is the job.

In fairness to Ryan, it did say grounding. In fairness to everyone else, so would a fortune cookie.
