Student desk setup under Rp 3 juta ✨ full list with price, where to buy, and what to skip
Most setup content is a $3000 desk. This one is for my followers who are still in kuliah

Halo semua! Many of my followers are students and they always ask "bang, setup murah tapi rapi gimana?" So I make this list. Everything here I buy myself or my adik buy, price is from Tokopedia and Shopee last month, can be different in your city.

The list
- Monitor 24" IPS 1080p, second hand: Rp 1.100.000. Ask seller for a video of full white and full black screen before you pay, to check dead pixel and backlight bleed
- Monitor arm, gas spring, single: Rp 250.000. This is the best upgrade in the whole list, I am serious. Your desk become 30% bigger and you can put monitor at eye level
- Mechanical keyboard 75%, hot-swap, local brand: Rp 450.000. Hot-swap is important, later you can change switch without solder
- Mouse: Rp 150.000. Any light one with good sensor
- Desk mat 80×30: Rp 60.000
- Laptop stand (aluminium, foldable): Rp 120.000. Laptop next to monitor at the same height
- Monitor light bar: Rp 180.000. Light on desk, not on screen, eyes very happy at night
- Cable tray under desk: Rp 85.000
- Velcro ties 1 roll + adhesive cable clips: Rp 35.000. NOT zip ties. Zip tie is for people who never want to change anything again
Total: around Rp 2.430.000. If you already have a monitor, it is under Rp 1,5 juta.
Cable management in 20 minutes
- Stick the cable tray under the back of the desk
- Put the power strip IN the tray. This is the secret, nobody tells you
- All power bricks in the tray, only one cable goes down to the wall
- Monitor cable go along the monitor arm, velcro every 15 cm
- Done. Cable management is self-care ✨
What to skip
- RGB everything. Yes. I said it. This one hurt me to write. If budget is tight, RGB is the first thing to cut, light bar gives better light anyway
- Expensive keyboard before a good chair. If you have extra money after this list, buy chair, not a Rp 2 juta keyboard. Your back will thank you when you are 30
- Second monitor before monitor arm. One monitor at the right height is better than two monitors too low
