my dishwasher runs when the dishwasher is full which is never because i live alone and eat cereal over the sink

Very nice. I would like to point out that the smart dishwasher which can do this automatically will also send your usage data to the manufacturer. A timer knob from 2005 has better data protection. 🙂

mine is a dumb one with a delay knob, so the script texts ME and I turn the knob like a peasant. privacy preserved
