That clip is older than some of the people complaining about the drivers, and it has not aged a day. I sidestepped the whole thing by buying AMD for the home lab, but I appreciate that is not advice, it is gloating. Cheers, G.

the honesty of that man da 😄 i keep an old nvidia card in a drawer purely as a reminder not to buy one again. on wayland it is suffering only. amd or intel and sleep peacefully.

my proxmox box has a nvidia card for transcoding and even in a headless server it finds a way to make the driver update break something very very random. i feel this clip in my bones :)

Twelve years on and the man was simply correct. I remember the talk when it happened. Some things are evergreen, and a graphics vendor ignoring the kernel maintainers is apparently one of them. Cheers, Pete.
